The Trinity Corridor Aerial View indicates in green the complete open
space from outside of east levee to outside of west levee, and the area
outside the Trinity Corridor contrasts in pale yellow. (Webmaster -
The graphics demonstrate that the proposed tollway has a minimal impact
on the total area of the corridor.)
This graphic depicts the proposed Trinity Parkway as a yellow ribbon
located along the downtown side of the Corridor open space. Also
located on the plan graphic are pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular
access points indicated by light and dark green circles. The blue
lines with arrows located on the plan indicate two section cuts of
the Corridor shown below.
This graphic depicts the proposed levee to levee Trinity Corridor
open space section near the Sylvan Bridge looking south. The purpose of
this graphic is to show a proportionate comparison of the Trinity
Parkway to the Corridor open space. To assist with understanding of the
Corridor’s grand scale, a football field graphic is silhouetted behind
the cross section. The Trinity Parkway alternative in this cross section
includes a four lane configuration with two south bound lanes and two
north bound lanes and on and off ramps to the Sylvan Bridge. (Section A)
This graphic depicts the proposed levee to levee Trinity Corridor open
space section near the Woodall Rodgers Bridge looking south. The purpose
of this graphic is to show a proportionate comparison of the Trinity
Parkway to the Corridor open space. To assist with understanding of the
Corridor’s grand scale, a football field graphic is silhouetted behind
the cross section. The Trinity Parkway alternative in this cross section
illustrates a more typical condition and includes a four lane
configuration with two south bound lanes and two north bound lanes.

“Proposed” Trinity Parkway Simulation (Sept. 2007)
This visual aid depicts a preliminary design concept for one proposed
alternative currently being evaluated as part of the project’s
comprehensive environmental impact study process. The environmental
process evaluates alternatives to build, as well as not to build, the
proposed Trinity Parkway, as required by law. The final selected
alternative and its features will be identified at the conclusion of the
environmental process. This visual aid was created for illustrative
purposes only and is an approximation of the appearance and design of
the proposed Trinity Parkway and certain park features. The information
used for this visual aid is still under development, and is subject to
comment, change, and approval by various federal and state agencies, as
well as the Dallas City Council and the NTTA Board of Directors.
