Featured are the winning photographs of the 350 images entered into
the
Trinity River Project 2009 Photo Contest.
Photographers submitted their images in three groups:
- Pro (receive all or a major portion of their income from photography),
- Amateur (beginning or novice photographers) and
- Youth (17 years of age and under).
Photos were submitted in four categories:
- Architecture/Structures,
- Forest,
- River, and
- Wildlife.
Four professional photographers selected the winning photographs: Michael
Hamtil; Allison Smith; Jesse Hornbuckle; Reginald Loftin. Contest sponsors were:
CH2M Hill; Downtown Dallas; ONCOR; Omni; HNTB; AT&T; Xerox; Trinity Commons
Foundation; and Trinity Trust Foundation. Canon sponsored a free Photo Workshop
in July with 75 photography enthusiasts in attendance. The Dallas Camera Club
served as an advisory committee and promoted the contest.
